Reflection 4

Hi guys!
So let's get started with reflection on last week class.

WHAT HAVE I LEARNED?

Basically, last week activity was very good since we got to know other groups' businesses. Some group chose to sell fried ice-cream, cupcakes, phone accessories etc. And surprisingly a group which was next to us also decided to sell fruits like our group. But then, their group chose the 'rojak' concept while us chose to sell fresh fruits with toppings according to customers demand. Apart from that, we also able to compare our group strategies with other groups. That was very beneficial to us since we can look upon other groups' ideas that can be used to improve our business.

HOW DO I FEEL?

It was very interesting to see representatives from all groups that promoted their business. Some was very creative and some was energetic; that kind of promoter really makes people interested to know more about what they're selling. But the most important thing is, I am really proud of my group especially my group leader that sing the 'fruits song' in front of many people! I sincerely think that those kind of way to promote thing is very good because somehow later on it might be our famous trademark and eventually people attracted to come to our stall.

OTHERS

I realized that a good promotion will eventually helps the business. This is because when certain groups promoted their business, I somehow couldn't remember what their business is- totally because perhaps they were not giving their best during promoting things. But some was very very good.

Assignment 4

What Have I Learned ?

During the class, i learned that we all must possess a good promotional skill so that people will have a look at our product and consider whether to buy it or not. Apart from that, we must work in a team and have a good time management because the team is needed to present and promote in their products in a very limited time.

How Do I Feel ?

WATERMELON WATERMELON PAPAYA ! PAPAYA ! BANANABANANA BANANABANANA, FRUIT SALAD. FRUIT SALAD.

I was in the utmost embarrased state after singing that line. It feels good after that though. It's just that my perception about that kind of performance. Something like that is embarrasing. Not anymore ! It feels good when people laugh and find it humourous. Cause then, they will remember our product :D

How And Where Can I Apply What I Have Learned ?

Well, this experience taught me to be more daring and brave to try and present whatever form that may get people's attention. So it is applicable not only to business but also during everyday lecture presentation ! People may not like your way, so you just say "Oh well, i did what i could do" . But if people like what you did, you may get that gargantuan success and enjoy the glory.

Others ?

I am anticipating something bigger next class. If I'm right :)

ASSIGNMENT 4

WHAT HAVE I LEARNED ?
From the previous class, I learned that presentations skills is very important to get the attention to attract audience. Self confidence is also important when we tried to deliver a message to someone to avoid nervousness. Next is I learned that we need to have eye contacts with the audience so that they will give their attention to us and not feel bored with what we want to say. Besides, we always have to keep smiling and control our body language on the stage.

HOW DO I FEEL ?
Like usual , i feel happy every time i had an APK class. I enjoyed watching all of the students promoting their products and unique selling point. They can show their values of entrepreneurship by persuading the people around them to buy their products. Plus, it's a fun thing to watch my friend a.k.a my groupmate, Doimis sang our business song as a unique selling product. Although is't kind of a funny thing to see, yet it is our way to promote our product.

HOW AND WHERE CAN I APPLY WHAT I HAVE LEARNED ?
All student should have the quality to present in front of all the crowd. They should learn on how to eliminate the stage fright , as for me i'm still managing my stage fright. Though it's hard to eliminate , but i'm trying my best , and from the previous class , i could get some of the tips on how to manage my stage fright.

OTHERS ?
More fun please in the next class !  H A H A : )

ASSIGNMENT 4

Hello everyone....................
I'm back again this week to share with you my reflection and here they are...............

WHAT HAVE I LEARNED IN THE CLASS?

Last Monday, it was my turn to be the leader. At first, be the leader is something that I want to anticipate most because there are a lot of characteristics that a leader must have and I' m lack of that characteristics. But I wanted to test myself, so I encouraged myself to stand up and say I'm the leader of the week. In fact, be a leader was not so difficult as I though, yet it was so interesting and somehow I know a little bit on how to built confidence in myself. Not only that, the most important thing that I learned this week was how to improve my presentation skills, to attract the attention of the audience so that they can get the message clearly. In order to deliver a massage, a good presenter must be energetic, has a good (loud and clear) voice, attracting body language and face expression. In addition, eye contact is also important as it shows the level of confidence that we have. In reality, usually people forget to apply them in their presentation and assume these skills are not important, but they are really really important. Oh one more thing, don't  forget to keep smiling. =)

HOW DO I FEEL?

I felt so great and I enjoyed the session so much. It was really fun to watch my group and other groups promoted the products and services with their unique selling points. Some of the businesses were interesting but there were some businesses that impossible to be carried out I think. Yet it was also fun to watch their styles in promoting the products. Some of them were good and talented. They had the characteristics like I typed above. They could deliver the message clearly to the audience even in a time less than one minute. Oh yup, before I forget, the most funny and interesting thing this week was to watch my groupmate, Doimis, sang our business theme song, so cute. Hi hi hi.....................

HOW AND WHERE CAN I APPLY WHAT HAVE I LEARNED?

As a student, presentation such a compulsory thing that I have to do. Therefore I have to improve my presentation skills because I realized that I'm lack of them so much. Not only as a student, I can also apply what have I learned in any discussions. By having these characteristics in delivering my points, the others will consider and finally accept if the points are reasonable.

OTHERS..................

How can I say, I think I love this class. It helps me a lot in improving my communication skills and also to built confidence level in myself. So hopefully I can do the best for any my presentations next time.

Assignment 4

Greeting again!!!
I'm back again with me reflection!
So, for previous class~~

What have I learned?
In previous class, I learned how to improve my presentation skill, how can I get the attention from my audience and how can I deliver the messages clearly and in a interesting way. We need to have frequently eye contact with our audience, adjust the message we want to deliver with different tone. Besides, our body language, vocabulary that we used also very important so that everyone can understand the information given clearly.

How do I feel?
At first, I thought that my presentation skill is good however after this class I feel that I'm still lacking. There are many things that I have to learn and I think that there are still a large space for me to improve my presentation skill. Therefore, I think this class really help me a lot.

How and where can I apply the things I learned?
In university, there are lots of presentation have to do. Therefore, improving the presentation skill is a must. Besides, we also need to present our idea in our career life. Thus, what we had learned last monday is really very useful throughout our life.

Others
Last Monday was just like a warm-up for our presentation task in the coming weeks. From this class, we learned our witnesses, thus, I hope we can correct and improve, do our best in the real presentation.

Reflection

Assignment 3 !

WHAT HAVE I LEARNED?

Well i'm not going to say that the class is fun again, because all of Miss Elaine's classes are FUN ! :D
But then, last week's class was the most enjoyable one so far. First we were taught to play the wave game, which is hell of a warm up. Then, we were taught a very exciting simulation, which involves EVERYONE of us. There are entrepreuners, employees, suppliers, customers and many more. My role was as the customer. I learnt that i must be considerate and not simply be a spendthrift. I have to compare market prices so that i will enjoy the benefit.

HOW DO I FEEL ?

I feel quite satisfied with myself, but a little guilty because i did not really abide to the rules that Miss Elaine stated. Do to excitment, i ended up buying food from suppliers which are much much cheaper, and redecorating the food, then selling them to other customers :D It was fun ! But i do get the message of the game.

HOW AND WHERE CAN I APPLY WHAT I HAVE LEARNED ?

I can apply these knowledges in my daily life, because i love shopping very much ! Therefore, the part where i learn how to be a good customer is very beneficial for me. I also can apply these knowledge to cooperate and work with other entities of the market :)

OTHERS

I sincerely hope that more simulations are to be prepared because i love doing them, and not just sitting and listening to lectures and answering questions. That's all from me :D

 A S S I G N M E N T 3

WHAT HAVE I LEARNED?

First of all, i learned a lot of things as a real employee of a company such as how to communicate well so that the customers are attracted to buy the things that i'm selling. Plus, i also get to see how other parties like the enrepreneurs, the suppliers, customers do their work. As an employee, I learned that selling stuffs is not as easy as i thought as there were so many obstacles that i have to faced, yet i managed to do it and i'm proud with that.

HOW DO I FEEL ?

To be frank, i thought this activity is such a waste in the first place, but after the activity starts, i kind of enjoyed what i am doing. I'm sure that all of us doesn't have any experience at all involving business, but then again, we can all gain some knowledge and experience about business throughout the game. I think it's a fun activity where i can talk to some guy or girls that i don't really know about them.

HOW AND WHERE CAN I APPLY WHAT I HAVE LEARNED ?

It's clear that i can apply all of those i learned last week in a business programme, but as a student, i can apply the things that i learned in a group activity where i can contribute as much as i can to make my group. Yet, i think experience in business is useful to other sorts of activities such as the college projects, etc.

OTHERS

I want more business games in the next week !

Weekly review: Week 3

What Have I Learned?
Basically, I’ve learned the quality of having a good communication skill. Being the leader of the week, as usual, tasks and assignments will first, be explained to those who are chosen. Later, I have to make sure that I can explain all the details to my group members clearly so that they understand what we will be doing that day. Checklist has to be made to make sure nothing is left behind while explaining the info.

How Do I Feel?
I feel good about myself because I was able to do my part for the group as leader of the week. This is a good thing. The act of having different person to lead each week as it can gives individual experience to all the group members and teach us about responsibility in a very good way.

How & Where Can I Apply?
Leadership and communication skills are like a combo. They comes together in a package and they are applicable anywhere in all stage of life. One cannot simply say they’re not a leader if they have no one under them. They are already considered as a leader as they need to lead their own self in life. They cannot solely rely on others forever. When the time comes, they will need to do and settle stuff on their own. This needs leadership. Even when it involves your ownself, individually.

Others.
More role-playing games please!

Assignment 3

Hello again! Although it's a bit late!
So, here are my reflection to the class~~

What have I learned?
From the last class, we learned how to find out the roots of problem and solve it. In this class, we met the real problem via the real situation. For example, inflation, lack of vacancy, less of variety of food supply! However, in the period of time given, it's very hard to solve the problem, therefore, alternative ways were used to minimize the effect of problem like collaboration between the supplier and entrepreneur!

How do I feel?
At first, I felt lost! It is because I don't actually understand how is it work. After that, when the game start, everything like not working well. However, when the time pass, everything go on the right path slowly. Although all of us don't have any experience in business, but it is obvious that some of the coursemates have some talents like able to persuade others, able to lead others. So, in overall, I think this game is still quite fun as it don't like others class which we can move around the lecture hall!!!

How and where can I apply?
I learned that practice makes perfect! Therefore, when starting a business, without any experience, of course everything will go wrong. However, after you gain the experience, you know how it work, then everything will be in the control. Just like our daily life, maybe sometime while organizing some activities in the club, at first of course everything doesn't go right, but after you explore, survey, do some research, analyse, you learn more and only you can conduct the activities well! Therefore, experience is very important in our life!

Other...
I hope the class in the future can have more games session as just sitting in the class listen to the lecture is seriously boring! Thus, I will appreciate every moment in the game sessions and play my role well!

REFLECTION 3

Entrepreneurship is neither a science nor an art. It is a practice. – Peter Drucker

Greetings to all,
this is my reflection on this week class 22 October 2012.

What have I learned?

Through the game I learned a lot from entrepreneur side. Frankly, it was really hard to do the budget-this is mainly because we didn't know a lot about our own business and the prices that the supplier would offer etc etc. After all, when we finished the game I realised about some important things that entrepreneur must know. Firstly, an entrepreneur must organised the budget very well. This will help us to plan and borrow the suitable amount of money from bank so that we didn't end up using all the money just to pay interest, salaries, cost of products and also utilities. In addition, entrepreneur MUST settle the monthly payment on time because of course we don't want any addition amount of money that we have to pay. Next, entrepreneur need to choose well the supplier that we want to cooperate with. That's why my partner and I asked all the suppliers about the prices they offered and it was also important to discuss with them.

How do I feel?

Actually, I feel disappointed because we didn't make any profit. All the money was used to pay the bank. Somehow, it wasn't our fault I would say. This is because at the beginning of the game, my company was given RM120.00 only from the bank. I thought it was ridiculous; the costs and utilities itself costs RM1200 plus the interest 10% from the bank. It was a game after all, so I thought 'it's okay, just proceed'. Luckily, there was a supplier who offered a very low prices and we cooperated with him.

How and where can I apply what have I learned?

These can be applied when I want to start a business. Basically, I knew what I need to do first. Firstly, I have to discuss with my partner about our business; the market, target customer, budget etc. Then, register the company name as we are allowed to borrow money from bank if the company is registered.
After that, we can negotiate and discuss with the supplier, find customers, and then when the business is going well, hire the employees.

Others

This week, I played a role as an entrepreneur and it was very though I would say. And entrepreneur had to face the most number of problems compared to suppliers, investors, customers because they are the one that manage the company. But still, there are still many people can be entrepreneur as long as they possess the characteristics needed such as risk-taking, critical thinking and so on.

Assignment 3!!

Hi everyone, I'm back again to share with you my reflection for the third week with Miss Elaine.

What have I learned in the class?

I'm not sure how to describe last Monday situation, but I think it was similar to night market. Last Monday, I used to be an employee. The first thing I have to do was make a resume. It was simple, but I know some people might cheat about themselves in their resumes. Although last Monday was a practise, not in real situation, I learned to be honest to myself. Next, after 10 minutes, we have to find a job from the entrepreneurs, which was the most challenging task ever I think. In my personal opinion, self confidence and great communication skill are the most important thing that I should have in looking for a new job. I realized that some entrepreneurs are not judging me based on my academic results, they also look at the skills and abilities as well. So from that session, I analysed myself and I found that there were much more I have to improve. Then, selling our products was not as easy as you can see at night market, there were so many obstacles we faced. As an example, our competitors also sold the same thing like us, but the difference was they sold it much cheaper than us. On the other hand, I learned to improve my creativity in promoting our products, attracting the customers to buy our products and treat them nicely. Overall, the last Monday session was so fun and I enjoyed it so much.

How do I feel?

First of all, I wondered why such useless activity and I never do before have to be carried out in the lecture hall. But think about the future life, then why I not I take part in the activity. For the first time I attempted an interview to find a job, my whole body was shaking a little bit eventhough the entrepreneurs are our friends. I think that's normal for human being. After the entrepreneur red my resume, he gave me the job. Oh, I was so happy with his answer. Then, I felt great to have an opportunity to build the interactions with all of the hall member. To attract them to buy our products, I kept smiling and treat them as nice as possible. It gave me some positive feelings. At the end of the session, the entrepreneur gave me the salary, plus the bonus and I knew we had a good coperation in our business. So now I get the real picture how a successful business is conducted by ordinary people.

How and where can I apply what have I learned?

Basically, what have I learned last Monday can be applied whenever I want to initiate a business with my partners. But from the perspective of a student, we can applied what we have learned whenever we have to do an assignment or other works in a group. We should contribute as much as possible to the group and play our role effectively to give the best result that beneficial to all of us and those in the surrounding.

Others.........

Last Monday was so fun isn' it? So hopefully it can be conducted in the next classes and it is also great to have an interactions with someone that we just know that day. Lastly, I would like to wish Salam Aidiladha and happy holiday to all my group member. Bye bye........
